Forgiveness

Should I forgive others even if they don’t stop sinning against me, or repent of their past sins toward me?

It sure feels like I shouldn’t have to, doesn’t it? Isn’t that fair?

Did Jesus wait until I stopped sinning or repented of my sin before he forgave me?

Wait a minute… I never did stop sinning against him…. didn’t I?

Can we learn to be as generous as Jesus with our forgiveness?

The University of Tokyo and the Japan folded paper (origami) plane society hopes to fly a paper airplane from the International Space Station to Earth. The plane will be 30-40cm long and weigh about 30 grams. A University of Tokyo research group has successfully designed a special paper plane model that was able to withstand a Mach 7 high velocity stream for 10 seconds. The experimental plane was about one-fifth the size and withstood temperatures as high as 300C without burning up.

Good gravy. Story here.

A Prayer for a Friend

January 20, 2008 on 10:35 am | In Social Justice | No Comments

Eternal God,
in whose perfect realm
no sword is drawn but the sword of righteousness,
and no strength known but the strength of love:
so guide and inspire the work of those who seek your kingdom
that all your people may find their security
in that love which casts out fear
and in the fellowship revealed to us
in Jesus Christ our Saviour,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and forever.

Amen.

For those of you who might be interested in dual-booting goodness with the Macbook Air, The Unofficial Apple Weblog has raised an interesting question: since it doesn’t have an optical drive, how would you install Windows on it?

Apparently you’re going to have to buy one of those external optical drives.
